GoDaddy is another popular domain registrar to compare prices before buying. While GoDaddy has received time and again negative feedbacks from its customers, for the most part they are related to its hosting or other services.
Free email forwarding feature with NameCheap but not with GoDaddy
It is during renewal that you can make grand savings. For instance, I need to renew domain name digitalsplendid.agency that is currently with NameCheap. The renewal price for the next 1 year quoted 22.66$.
Also checked for available coupons on NameCheap but could not find any that could be applied to the renewal of digitalsplendid.agency.
Next, I checked the transfer pricing/renewal pricing for digitalsplendid.agency on GoDaddy which was 2271.97 INR or 30 USD approx for 2 years. Or 15 USD for 1 year. Though I need to commit for 2 years, I might have chosen GoDaddy as I save 7.66 USD for 1 year or pay 66% less {(15/22.66)x100}. Taking into account the free email forwarding feature with NameCheap, I chose to stay with NameCheap.
Also checked the renewal pricing quoted on Domain.com for digitalsplendid.agency, which was 21.99$ USD for 1 year.
